Andre is a full-time knife maker from Klerksdorp in the North-West Province in South Africa. He is a member of the Cape Knife Making Guild. Andre has been making knives part-time since 2008. And he has been a knife maker full time since 2015.
He loves building both folding knives and fixed blade knives. Some of his favourite steels are Damasteel, 5160 and also N690. Andre brings an artist’s eye to knife design. And he finds and uses the most interesting and exotic materials for his knife handles and knife scales.
